Electricians are needed on every building and infrastructure project in the UAE, from villas and warehouses to towers and utility works.
Typical work
- Installing conduit, trunking and cable trays
- Pulling and terminating cables
- Fixing distribution boards, sockets, switches and light fittings
- Earthing and temporary site power
- Testing, fault finding and maintenance
What employers look for
The ability to read electrical drawings, neat and safe installation, and experience with testing. Work must follow the rules of the local authority, such as DEWA in Dubai or SEWA in Sharjah, so experience on UAE projects is a strong advantage. A technical diploma or trade certificate helps your application.
Safety
Electricians must follow lock-out and permit procedures and never work on live circuits without authorisation.
